Aug 2nd Tom will be hosting our newest course ‘Active Threat Response’ where students will receive instruction on situational awareness considerations, active shooter response, and live fire shoot/ no shoot scenario drills.

Aug 7 JT will take lead with Tac Pistol- covering multiple considerations when you find yourself in a gun battle with a pistol.

Aug 9 Eric will hold our monthly Range Safety Officer / stop the bleed course.

Aug 14 Tom will be hosting a Basic Rifle, teaching the ins and outs of an AR style rifle, so if you’re new to the game come get some knowledge.

Aug 19 Female Only Basic Pistol-evening class. If you or a female you know of needs to get some detailed instruction on the operations and handling of a pistol, this is the class. You’ll leave the property a lot more comfortable, capable, and confident with your weapon system.

Aug 23 Advanced Concealed Carry course. This is not a CWP certifying class, this is actually learning to shoot from concealment and the practical application of carrying a concealed weapon.

Aug 24 is Rifle / Pistol Integration- smooth transitions for a two-gun fight. Train with the best at the best location.

Aug 24 Competition readiness course! Full Auto Fitness Competition Readiness Class, designed to help gauge active and upcoming competitors on their physical fitness levels and marksmanship skills. Join us and get ready for your next physical and marksmanship challenge.

If you’re trying to get into the tactical competition game, this is the only place to train for it. You can work out at gyms, run on the streets and trails, and you can shoot at ranges, but this is the only place where you can do it all at the same time. We have 250 acres of opportunity, and on that 250 acres, we have 2 obstacle courses, 6 short bays, shoot house, 360 degree range, land nav points, rivers, ponds, 400 yard range with targets at unknown distances, and a 1400 yard known distance range. We have vehicles, busses, structures, and wall sections to allow for realistic training, not to mention weights, sandbags, and obstacles/barricades to help you train up for the multitude of competitions that we host.

Open range days for August: 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 14, 19, 21, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, Our open bays allow you to draw from holster, maneuver obstacles, shoot both steel and paper targets, mag reload drills, transition drills and more. Take advantage of the 1400 yard known distance range, 400 yard high angle unknown distance range, steel plate racks, dueling trees, and Texas stars!

We conduct a lot of private training here at The Sawmill so if you would like to take a class but it does not meet your schedule, give us a call and we can set something up tailored to meet your training needs.

Check out the website for a detailed description of these courses and required gear. Remember we have rentals available, as well as ammo and gear to buy at our Pro-Shop.

Several private groups coming in throughout the month, so keep in mind if you have a large group or client/ employee appreciation day that you’d like to rent out the range, stay a few days, get some great training and team building in, give us a call or write us an email and we can iron out the details.

If you are looking for specific training and are not seeing dates available, give us a call and lets set something up.

Stay tuned.
