The Basic Rifle Course introduces students to the safe and effective use of rifles through a combination of classroom instruction and live-fire range training. Students will learn the different types of rifles, rifle parts and function, ammunition fundamentals, firearms safety, proper handling procedures, maintenance, and marksmanship fundamentals.
Intro To Archery
Join us Saturday, June 27th 9am to 12pm for our very first Introduction to Archery class at the Sawmill.
Whether you’re brand new to archery or looking to sharpen your fundamentals, this hands-on class is designed to help you build confidence, improve technique, and gain a strong foundation in the sport.
Led by Chad Fisher of Red Beard Archery, participants will learn the core mechanics of safe and effective shooting while also receiving personalized bow sizing and equipment guidance.

Women's Only Basic Pistol
We’re excited to launch our first Women’s Only Basic Pistol Course taught by our Lead Female Instructor, Jackie Yedesko!
This class begins with the breakdown handguns, types, how they work, how to maintain them, how to use them safely, and how to shoot effectively. You will be guided in the development of various skills, apply them to live fire static shooting and progress to dynamic movement drills.

What makes The Sawmill CWP different: It is a one-stop shop, complete course material, live fire qualification, and finger prints all done on site. Most courses stop after qualification and assessment, where at The Sawmill we continue with further training by completing scenario based concealed carry shooting drills which is a taster for the Advanced Concealed Carry course!

This isn’t static range work - this is dynamic, stress-induced training focused on decision-making under pressure and responsible threat engagement. Since South Carolina is an open carry state, we allow students to have concealed holsters or outside the waist holsters.

Bullets and Bourbon
Come and spend a full day of training and a social evening with Dutch Moyer and select former operators from various top tier units, as we break bread, have a glass, and share stories of battles, times, and warriors who are gone too soon. This will be a unique Bullets and Bourbon event where a portion from the cost of the class will go to the Green Beret Foundation, assisting in family members of Green Berets in need. They will have several people in attendance both from the foundation and Green Berets who have benefitted from this foundation.

Free Military and Law Enforcement Training Days will be offered once a quarter. Each event will focus on a specific skill. The instructor is former Tier 1 operator Dutch Moyer of DCM Consulting and The Sawmill.
Memorial Day Murph
Join us on Memorial Day for our first ANNUAL Sawmill Murph Challenge as we honor the legacy of U.S. Navy SEAL Lt. Michael Murphy, who died heroically in the line of duty in Afghanistan on June 28th, 2005. This Hero workout is infinitely scalable based upon your skill level and experience, with options ranging from Individuals to Partners.

Public Range Day
The Sawmill’s Public Range Days are open to the public, no membership required, with access to our outdoor shooting bays, 400 yard unknown distance range, and our 1400 yard known distance range. Just pay the dues ($100 for long ranges, $75 for short) and shoot from 9am to 4pm. Patrons can practice 2 and 3-gun skillsets, shooting on the move, obstacles, barricades, transition drills, and reload drills.
