Dec 6 Full Auto Fitness CompReady
We’ve partnered with Full Auto Fitness to bring you a one of a kind program designed for athletes preparing to compete in tactical shooting competitive fitness events and real-world challenges. Whether you're stepping into the arena at the Sawmill Showdown, or just want to train with greater purpose, this program is designed by The Sawmill’s Directors of Tactical Fitness and built for you.
Full Auto Fitness Comp Ready is a monthly, in-person training session hosted at The Sawmill, combining strength work, tactical conditioning, loaded carry progressions and rifle/pistol shooting elements. These two-hour sessions are structured in a class type setting featuring a warmup, mobility/stretching, movement instruction, skill work, workout overview and lastly doing the damn thing!
What You’ll Train
Carries, Holds, Sleds, Rowing, Biking, Kettlebells, Axle Bars and much more
Bracing, breathing, and core under load
Partner-based conditioning and mental grit
Shooting rifle and pistol via realistic stages you’d encounter in in a Tactical competition, while under fatigue
Earn a ranking with The Sawmill’s first ever hosted classifier stage!
Sawmill Full Auto Fitness Operator (FAFO) Classifier
The FAFO Classifier is a timed fitness and shooting evaluation used to rank competitors into one of five categories: Prime (80th percentile+), Tactical Athlete (50th+), Tactical (25th+), Classified (completed with a score), or Unclassified (not yet attempted). The course involves engaging rifle and pistol targets at 10, 15, and 25 yards under increasing fatigue, with a work component of dumbbell burpee throws (35 lb) performed mid-sequence. Competitors must complete precise head and torso shots within a five-minute cap, with penalties for missed shots and improper movement standards. Athletes may repeat the classifier if time allows, but first-time attempts take priority. Scoring is based on raw time, plus penalties, with a focus on marksmanship, movement, and mental grit.
